Week 60 Transfers (11/18)

Alrighty, time for an update! Sorry I'm lazy with this blog but I will try to repent and to better! Last week we got to go to Brisbane! It was awesome! They have NEVER flown all the missionaries to Brisbane. While in Brisbane Elder Kevin W. Pearson of the first quorum of the 70, who is also the area president came for a mission tour. It was awesome. He was so powerful and it was such an uplifting experience. It was especially amazing to see all of my companions (minus Elder Kreth because he finished his mission) and all of the friends I have made on my mission.

After we flew back to T-Ville things started going south. Almost all of our investigators dropped us out of nowhere. We are trying really hard to get them back, but it isn't looking very good. Elder Williamson is now transferred and I have my new companion, Elder He (pronounced Hua). Elder He is from Beijing China! NO ENGLISH MISSIONARIES GET CHINESE SPEAKING COMPANIONS!!! I am so fortunate!!! He got called to the ABM to teach in Chinese but is now here with me in T-Ville. He is already teaching me a lot about his culture and the language. He speaks near perfect English because he spent 4 years in England for school, which is where he met the missionaries and was baptized!

Things are looking up here in Townsville! Hopefully we can finally get that baptism we have been working for! I love you all! Have an amazing week!

Week 58 - Pics

District Meeting via Skype

District Lunch

Week 58

Today we are going to go golfing with Tau Moga (another member that plays pro rugby) and his cousin Vince. The Moga's are probably the best family in the ward. While we were there one dinner it got out that I can cook so we are going golfing, shopping for food that I am going to cook with, then to their house. I am doing Costa Vida salad! Chicken and Steak because the sweet pork takes to long :( We have some mother son unity going on haha. (I made sweet pork salads for seminary grad dinner the same weekend) The special assignment I am on up here has been successful so far. The ZL's are driving from Cairns to go on a two day trade off with us. It's a good/bad thing when that happens aye.
have studied church history in the Fullness of Times institute manual and learned heaps. I also want one of the replicas Book of Mormons they make. That would be pretty cool. We went pretty hard this week to catch up on what we missed from me being sick. So we went on splits 3 times. It was awesome. I love you mom!

Week 57

I am feeling great :) I had an unusually quick recovery for the virus I had. Very blessed :)

We are fully moved in. We had some visitors this weekend and they leave tomorrow morning after district conference. They are the Whit Sundays Elders! It's been really fun having them around.

So we saw President Henderson this weekend. It was great to see him. I love him SO much! They called a new district presidency so we are going to really try to get things done right up here. The branch is okay. 200-ish members but hardly any Priesthood Holders. We don't do much for the branch on Sundays but we are trying to get more involved. We currently do not have a branch mission leader but are hoping for one this Sunday. Missionary work doesn't really change. Just the location and the people you work with. I prefer this area over Brisbane but I miss Camp Hill ward a lot. I still miss Waterford haha. Today for P-Day we went to a Zoo called Billabong Sanctuary!
